What’s this? An update? A new art style? You can’t handle all this? Well, sit down because that’s not all. I’m currently working on a secret project that I’m not ready to share yet. But soon… soon.

The Canadian political leaders debate was on tonight and this was what I saw. Except with more finger pointing and a few zingers.

If the joke sounds familiar it’s probably because Futurama did something very similar that heavily inspired me, where two cloned presidential candidates, John Jackson and Jack Johnson, debate (audio available here):

John Jackson: “It’s time someone had the courage to stand up and say: I’m against those things that everybody hates.”
Jack Johnson: “Now, I respect my opponent. I think he’s a good man. But quite frankly, I agree with everything he just said.”
John Jackson: “I say your three cent titanium tax goes too far.”
Jack Johnson: “And I say your three cent titanium tax doesn’t go too far enough.”

So there isn’t really anything on TV on Friday nights for me to make fun of. But I know that FOX sometimes airs episodes of House, so there’s that…

I’ve actually never watched House, but I’ve seen many previews for it. I hear it’s pretty popular.

So, has anyone noticed that I’ve been ripping off shows that air on the night of the update? I’m just not sure what to do for tomorrow. Fridays are a TV graveyard.

Personally, I think Modern Family is overrated. Not bad – just overrated. Of the ABC Wednesday night comedies, I prefer Cougar Town (which is actually nothing like what the name suggests).

The real joke is that the show on which this is based is already bad. So I guess this is a Bad Bad TV Show.

Surprise! It’s Bad TV Week. A new bad TV show every day this week. Hopefully, this will make up for last week’s non-update. I was busy at a conference and didn’t get around to doing one a week in advance.

This is one that I’ve been sitting on for quite a while (like almost a year). I was holding off because the CSI: Miami and Kool Aid jokes were being used a lot and I thought it wouldn’t be as funny then. But I think it’s time for the world to see.

What do you think? Have they lost all humour by now?

I hope I’m not too late on this one. I was inspired by an article a couple weeks ago about how, if it took place in the real world, the glee kids would be breaking copyright laws (albeit stupid ones) left, right and centre. I think it would actually be an interesting topic for an episode (or series of episodes). It could educate teens on the stupidity of the DMCA (Digital Millennium Copyright Act). I somehow doubt that Fox would go for that, though. Oh well…

As someone living in Toronto who doesn’t know the area, the CN tower is my compass. If I ever get lost downtown, at least I always know which way is south.

I’ve had this idea sitting around for a couple of months, but just finally got around to making it. The whole thing (comic, title, hover text) just came together while watching a Friends rerun one day. It was a magical moment. Unless of course it’s only funny to me, in which case… it wasn’t my idea?

Anyway, I use Bing as my default search engine now. I find it handles simple searches like “puppies” better than Google. I will admit that I do go back to Google from time to time, but that’s mostly for Google News because Bing doesn’t have as good of a news section as Google… yet? Bing’s web crawler also kind of sucks. Searching for “Right Brain Comics” on Bing won’t give you a link here, whereas it’s the first result on Google (at least at the time of this posting). For that reason I often find myself going back to Google when I’m not finding what I’m looking for with Bing. But not too often…
